New Regent Park Restaurant

Paintbox Bistro is one of the newest additions to the community hub, located at the corner of Dundas East and Sackville. The restaurant aims on serving high-end cuisine, in addition to providing event catering services, and training facilities. The food is described as, “innovative, reasonably priced, and bearing the culinary stamp of its chef, formerly of the Rosebud.” Ultimately, the restaurant was designed with the community in mind, making a notable debut to the newly revitalized neighbourhood. This year’s annual “2012 Cabbagetown Tour of Homes” is currently seeking volunteers to participate in this year’s exciting tour! There are currently 8 fantastic homes this year to showcase. The Cabbagetown Preservation Association is now looking for volunteers to make this another spectacular year! Volunteers will receive a complimentary ticket to see all the homes following the public viewing — from 4pm to 5pm. Catch the Cabbagetown Youth Centre Performance happening TODAY

At the Cabbagetown Youth Centre’s free Performing Arts Camp, 150 kids get to participate in the arts every summer. Campers will show what they learned at the Rosedale Heights School of the Arts, when the camp holds its annual year-end performance. The little ones all from the Cabbagetown, St. James Town and Regent Park communities will showcase their talents in dance, drama, vocals and songwriting.
