Riverdale Farm Survey

  The Cabbagetown Residents Association has posted a Riverdale farm survey. The survey is part of a study by the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). I have always thought of Riverdale Farm as one of Toronto’s great hidden treasures. Toronto Central By-Election Debate

The Toronto Central By-Election Debate is coming soon on November 20, 2013! The Toronto Central By-Election is coming up soon on November 25, 2013 and a coalition of eight residents associations have put together a forum for all candidates to debate and show how they will work for you.  I’m very proud and honored to be working with the Cabbagetown BIA and Don Value Resident’s association in helping put this together.  The debate is scheduled for Jarvis Collegiate located at 495 Jarvis Street on November 20, 2013 starting at 7 PM.  The debate will be moderated by John Tory and we …

Cabbagetown Development News and Updates

Seaton House Redevelopment The Seaton House redevelopment plans, proposed by Councillor Wong-Tam, were adopted by the City Council late last week with the following amendments: (a) to ensure that the change to emergency shelter beds at the George Street site is managed in conjunction with the direction provided by Council in April 2013 to aim for a shelter occupancy rate no higher than 90% in the short term and a shelter occupancy rate policy that ensures that all homeless persons seeking a bed can be accommodated; and (b) to establish an advisory group for the redevelopment of Seaton House that …
