Abandoned Bicycles in Toronto

As a part of the city-wide spring clean-up, the City of Toronto will be taking abandoned bicycles off of the streets to keep bike parking available and the roads uncluttered. If you think that you have found a bicycle that looks abandoned — cracked frame, flat tires, missing parts, or has been chained to the same place for over a month — call 311 and provide the city with as many details as possible.  Those that are reported will be removed immediately unless the state of the bike is undetermined. Aberdeen Avenue Residents’ Group Spring Clean-Up

This Saturday, join the Aberdeen Avenue Residents’ Group (AARG) during their annual street clean-up. Residents are encouraged to meet at Winchester Square — our city designated area — between 10am and 2pm.  Litter bags will be supplied and will be generously picked up by Steve Nobel from City Hall at the end of the day. Be sure to bring your own gloves, a small shovel, broom, and dust pan, so that you can make the most out of this spring cleaning experience. Spring cleaning in Toronto

On Saturday, April 21st, groups across Toronto are gathering to clean up public spaces in their neighbourhoods.  The DVCRA has registered as a community clean up hub and we need your help! Please bring your gloves, maybe a small shovel, broom or dust pan if you have one and we’ll give Cabbagetown a good spring cleaning! We have some litter bags from the City (though feel free to bring your own) and will hand them out at on April 21st at 10:00am at the North East corner of Winchester and Parliament (the old Coffee Time).
