Spring cleaning in Toronto

On Saturday, April 21st, groups across Toronto are gathering to clean up public spaces in their neighbourhoods.  The DVCRA has registered as a community clean up hub and we need your help!

Please bring your gloves, maybe a small shovel, broom or dust pan if you have one and we’ll give Cabbagetown a good spring cleaning!

We have some litter bags from the City (though feel free to bring your own) and will hand them out at on April 21st at 10:00am at the North East corner of Winchester and Parliament (the old Coffee Time).

The goal is to clean up litter in our neighborhood streets, lane ways and public green spaces.  If there is an area you feel is in particular need, please email it to us at info@cabagetowner.com and we will suggest it to our volunteers.

All bags of garbage must be dropped off at the same North East corner of Winchester and Parliament by 2:00pm on Saturday, April 21st to be picked up by the city.  Personal garbage, furniture, tires, building materials, etc. will NOT be taken.

If you are unable to meet at 10:00am, please feel free to do your own garbage collection and bring all bags to our drop off place by 2:00pm on the 21st.
