Two BIA Workshops Coming-Up This Week

On Thursday, April 18th, the BIA will be hosting two community workshops. These workshops will engage with many popular topics, such as the importance of community in marketing and new-immigrant banking services.  Both workshops will be held at different places and at different times. Aberdeen Avenue Residents’ Group Spring Clean-Up

This Saturday, join the Aberdeen Avenue Residents’ Group (AARG) during their annual street clean-up. Residents are encouraged to meet at Winchester Square — our city designated area — between 10am and 2pm.  Litter bags will be supplied and will be generously picked up by Steve Nobel from City Hall at the end of the day. Be sure to bring your own gloves, a small shovel, broom, and dust pan, so that you can make the most out of this spring cleaning experience. A Call for Volunteers The annual Forsythia Festival is quick approaching!  On Sunday May 5th prepare to join hundreds of cheerful residents in Wellesley Park for an event filled day.  The parade will begin at the corner of Sumach and Winchester Street at 10am and the festivities will last until 3pm.  In order for this year’s event to run smoothly, the Cabbagetown Residents Association is looking for a few more volunteers.  Even if you can only spare one hour of your time, the community will be extremely grateful.  If you are interested in helping out at this year’s Forsythia Festival, …
