Then and Now: Winchester and Metcalfe

Then: January 10, 1935. Rear southeast corner of Winchester and “Medcalfe.” Actually it’s Metcalfe with a ‘t” not a “d” as it is in the official description in the photo.

Now: June 2011. No changes here.  An older elegant, unmolested walk-up apartment on an equally elegant corner in Cabbagetown. The church in both pictures is St. Enoch’s Presbyterian Church, built in 1890, now home of The Toronto Dance Theatre.
